Do you walk on the roof when cleaning?
No we don’t, we use extendable carbon fibre poles to steam clean your roof from the ground. Alternatively, where necessary, we use mobile aluminium towers to raise us up to the gutter line.
Do you do moss removal?
Yes, we do. Our standard roof cleaning process delivers instant results. We steam clean your roof removing all moss dirt and other organic build up, then treat with a biocide which stunts the regrowth for up to 5 years.
Will jet washing or steam cleaning roofs lift the tiles?
No, when we clean we use low pressure and high heat, whilst cleaning from the ridge line down to the gutter line. At no point do we spray water up towards the base of your tiles. This ensures that the water runs down the face of the tile and into the gutter.
How long will my roof stay clean?
Depending on the treatment applied, we can stunt the growth of algae, moss and lichen, for up to 5 years
Will my gutters be blocked after the clean?
No, we clean and clear all the guttering and downpipes with every roof clean.
Is roof cleaning necessary?
Yes, roof cleaning is necessary as the build-up of moss, algae and lichens causes damage to the surface of tiles by leaving craters, caused by the roots. Moss, if left untreated, can lift and separate tiles and let water in. Some home insurers can reject claims if the damage could have been avoided by keeping your roof maintained, for example leaks, damp and mould.
