Autumn. It can be a beautiful time of year to explore the great outdoors.

4. Seal Gaps
The next thing that you want to do is seal any open gaps that you have in the exterior of your home. The reason why you want to do this in the Autumn is that come winter, it gets cold outside.
What does this mean? It means that animals that primarily live outside like mice and other bugs are more likely to want to seek shelter in your home.
Take care of this issue before that happens.
5. Prepare for Winter
Finally, if you live in a particularly cold environment, then you need to prepare for winter to come. That is because these places are likely to have colder temperatures and less daylight.
Are there any lights on the outside of your home? Is the sidewalk smooth and safe to walk through? Do you have a shovel or a snow blower to clear any potential snow?
These are things that you should think about in the Autumn before it is too late in the winter.
